What Is the Yambaru World Heritage Conservation Center?
The Yambaru World Heritage Conservation Center—Ufugi Nature Museum is a visitor’s center where you can learn about the nature of Yambaru, a World Natural Heritage site.
World Natural Heritage Site
Inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List on July 26, 2021 as "Amami-Oshima Island, Tokunoshima Island, Northern part of Okinawa Island, and Iriomote Island."

The northern part of Okinawa Island is known as Yambaru, and part of the area is designated as Yambaru National Park.
